Green Homes cleaned my carpets on the afternoon of May 6. I had a mailer coupon and thought I would try them. Immediately the service tech haggled on the price and tried to tell me the area I was having cleaned exceeded the square footage and I would have to use the 5 room not the 3 room at double the cost. I said no as I have had my carpets cleaned numerous times as well as installed and am aware of the square footage. We agreed on an additional $20 for the "overage". I also asked about drying time and was assured it would be 2 to 3 hours. Not true. The carpet was soaking wet when they finished. I asked them to run over it once more to remove the excess water and was told they couldn't. It was not a truck mounted system - more the rental type you would find at a grocery store and as such did not have the suction to remove the water. While there was no sticky soap residue, the carpets did not dry unti the next morning. I even turned the heat on that night in a attempt to speed the process. Furniture was not placed on drying blocks so I had to place towels to prevent discoloration on the carpet. By the next day all the dirt marks were back, so much for the pretreating. This was a complete waste of money. I didn't bother contacting the company, as they marked basic on the sheet. I think all that was used was water, which does allow it to be non-toxic.
