Terrible Communication
When I was approved to close I was not given instructions on what I needed to do other then a phone call stating I could go ahead and get my cashier check. I went and got it only to find out that it was to be made out to a Title company so now this check was useless. By now I can't get a new check because my bank is not where I live. I spoke with the Title company that they want my check to be sent to who said given the situation just write a personal check. I did and sent it of with the closing docs. Next day I get a call from Clearpath saying they can't use my personal check. I explain that the Title company said to do that. Now after discussing all options I was given a green light to get money orders. I do this and next day I see the Title company cashed my personal check. Now I am out the money that hasn't been returned yet from Cashier check, the personal check, and the money orders. When my personal check cashed it bounced along with several other things in my account. Now I have bounce fees and blemishes on my bank account. A few days later I get a call from Clearpath saying I put a stop on the money orders. I never did that. The whole process was very frustrating and it all stemmed from not getting to correct info originally when I was cleared to close and I have had to pay $$$ for the issues. I really just want the money back I am out. Asked to speak with a supervisor. He called and left a message one. I have tried back a couple times with no response. Please make sure when dealing with Clearpath that you get all the info you need in writing.
